Patience and Time is an Exotic Sniper Rifle notable for its high Stability and overall stat balance.

Excerpt from "'Should I Buy It?' – Patience and Time & Other Exotics"

When you think Patience and Time, you should immediately think Stability. It outclasses nearly every other Sniper with 79 Stability; that's only beaten by Vault of Glass Raid Sniper Her Benevolence (54).

While Patience and Time's namesake perk gives invisibility while zoomed, it's much less practical than you'd hope. In PVE, there are few situations where you're thankful for it. In PVP, you can still see the "red dot" sniper glare. Hmmm.

It's a popular pick during Arc Burn. Great Stability corresponds to a very easy to use Sniper Rifle. Third Eye (constant radar) is actually a good fit (better than expected). Since PaT has a low-zoom option, it has use at medium-range and benefits even more from Third Eye.

History

  • Patience and Time used to have Snapshot (quick aiming), but that was replaced with Custom Optics (a lower-zoom scope) in the major December Exotic patch.
  • PaT's Stability used to be 92, but has since been reduced to 79 (diff. of -13).
