Destiny 2 Will Get PS4 Pro and Xbox One X Support in December

New graphical options will soon be available on both consoles.

Now that both Sony and Microsoft has released their respective high-end console variants in the PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, many different game developers are working on releasing new patches for their existing games which allow them to take advantage of each console’s powerful new hardware capabilities, and Bungie is one of them.

According to this recent weekly update post from Bungie, the studio plans to release a game update for Destiny 2 on December 5, the same day as the start of the game’s second content season and the launch of the Curse of Osiris expansion. This game update will include new enhancements specifically for the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro consoles, enhancements which include support for 4k resolution, HDR lighting effects, and more.

Bungie hasn’t yet offered in-depth details on how exactly the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro will benefit specifically from the update, but the studio promises it will make playing Destiny 2 on those more souped-up consoles worth the investment.
